Apple Watch Series 8 Coming to Malaysia Soon From RM1,899
September 8, 2022 Andrew Cheng

The Apple Watch Series 8 is set to be available in Malaysia soon, and we now know how much the new smartwatch will cost on our shores. Naturally, it features a number of upgrades, including new watchfaces, a temperature sensor, and even the ability to detect a crash.

For the Malaysian market, the Series 8 retails from RM1,899; that’s RM150 more than the starting price of the Series 7. For that kind of money, the Series 8 looks more modern than its predecessor, thanks to the new watchfaces, even if the design remains largely the same.

Also new to the Series 8 is a temperature sensor, which can help women track their ovulation cycle. It can also detect if the wearer is involved in a car crash; this can be a literal lifesaver. As for battery life, the Series 8 offers up to 18 hours of use on a single charge, and it can be further extended to 36 hours in low power mode.

Pricing wise, the Apple Watch Series 8 starts at RM1,899 in Malaysia for the GPS only model. If you want the cellular version, it will set you back RM2,299. No word yet on the exact availability of the new Apple Watch in Malaysia, though we reckon it should arrive here very soon.
