Here’s a brand new Apple Watch, and it’s dubbed Apple Watch Ultra. Given the rugged nature and long battery life of the smartwatch – for a wearable of this calibre – it does deserve the Ultra branding. Of course, it also carries an equally…ultra pricing.
Here in Malaysia, the Apple Watch Ultra goes for a cool RM3,799; that’s twice the price of the new Series 8, which starts at RM1,899. Of course, you do get a number of neat upgrades for that kind of money, including much longer battery life – up to 36 hours or 60 hours in low power mode – and sturdier sapphire front crystal.

Unique to the Watch Ultra is dual-frequency GPS that integrates both L1 and L5 frequencies; perfect for the target audience of this rugged, premium smartwatch. There’s also a new Action button that can be customised to different features.
To recap, the Apple Watch Ultra starts at RM3,799 in Malaysia. It remains to be seen when the rugged smartwatch will be available for purchase here, but rest assured, we’ll keep a close eye for any pertaining information.
