iPhone 14 Pro & iPhone 14 Pro Max Starts at RM5,299 in Malaysia – Up to RM500 Price Hike
September 8, 2022 Andrew Cheng

We’ve got the Malaysian pricing of the new iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max! For our market, the latest and greatest iPhones start at RM5,299 – that’s a noticeable RM400 price hike from last year’s models.

Of course, the RM5,299 price tag is for the 128GB base model of the iPhone 14 Pro. As for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the most affordable 128GB variant goes for RM5,799. Compared to the same storage option of the iPhone 13 Pro Max at launch, that’s a RM500 price hike.

Anyway, for that kind of money, the iPhone 14 Pro phones do bring a number of upgrades, including a new pill-shaped display cutout with a “Dynamic Island” UI design. When you get a notification or playing music, the Dynamic Island will expand accordingly to show these elements, which does make for a unique user experience. The new iPhones finally get an always on display as well!

As expected, the iPhone 14 Pro models also feature Apple’s latest A16 Bionic chip; a hardware the more affordable iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus do not get. As usual, the new chip promises superior performance, along with better power efficiency to further improve battery life.

In the camera department, the iPhone 14 Pro phones naturally offer some notable upgrades, including a new 48MP primary camera with pixel binning for improved image quality. The telephoto and ultra-wide angle sensors also bring better low light performance.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be available for pre-order in Malaysia on 16 September (Malaysia Day!), and they’re set to hit store shelves the following week on 23 September. Yes, the Malaysian market is getting the shiny new iPhones relatively quickly.
