TC Euro Cars (TCEC) just launched the new 2022 Renault Zoe in Malaysia! Retailing from RM163,000, the EV promises up to 395km of range on the WLTP cycle; a respectable range for the fully electric hatchback.

Of course, the RM163,000 price tag is for the base Zen R110 variant of the new Zoe. Compared to the higher-end Intens R135 model, the R110 has more modest outputs of 110PS and 225Nm of torque. As for the R135, its electric motor offers 135PS and 245Nm of torque with an estimated pricing of RM175,000.

But with the added power, the range of the R135 is also slightly lower at 386km over the R110’s 395km quoted range.

Both variants of the updated Zoe feature Renault’s new 52kWh Z.E. 50 battery, which is said to be a 25% improvement over the previous generation’s battery without actually increasing its physical size. It can also be charged from 0-100% in three hours with a 22kW charger; nine hours and 30 minutes with a 7.4kW charger instead.

Other standard equipment of the new Zoe include full LED Headlights with C-shaped DRLs, an Easy Link 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, 16-inch alloy wheels, as well as four airbags. The higher-end Intens R135 also gets combination leather and cloth upholstery, along with a reverse camera.
