The Motorola Razr is back! Well, sort of. The Motorola Razr 2022 has just been launched in China, and it is reportedly exclusive to the country, which is a shame, given its high-end hardware and affordability.
In China, the Razr 2022 is priced from 5,999 Chinese yuan; that comes up to about RM3,955. That puts it squarely against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4, which starts at RM4,099 in Malaysia. For that kind of money, the new Razr features pretty impressive hardware.
These include a fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, an equally fast 6.7-inch Full HD+ P-OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate – the highest we’ve seen on a foldable phone so far – as well as a 2.7-inch P-OLED screen on the cover. It also features a dual camera system (50MP primary + 13MP ultra-wide angle), a 32MP selfie camera, and a 3,500mAh battery.
As mentioned, the Motorola Razr 2022 is only set to be offered in China, though we reckon parallel importers will eventually bring in the foldable phone here. Nonetheless, it’s entirely possible things could change in the future. After all, previous iterations of the Razr were sold here.
