The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is here! As expected, it looks very similar to its predecessor, though it does offer some notable upgrades, including a faster chipset, bigger battery, as well as a couple of meaningful design changes.
For the Malaysian market, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 retails from RM4,099 for the 128GB model; a RM100 price increase over last year’s model. A tier up is the 256GB configuration for RM4,399 (RM200 increase). We’re also getting the Bespoke Edition of the foldable; also featuring 256GB of storage, this customisable model retails slightly higher at RM4,599.
Also new to our market is the 512GB variant of the Z Flip 4 for a cool RM4,899. Regardless of which model you go for, you’ll get 8GB of RAM.
For that kind of money, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 offers a few improvements, including the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a more generous 3,700mAh battery – that’s 400mAh larger than last year’s model – and flatter sides with matte covers; it’s quite a bit more comfortable to hold than the previous model.
Other specifications of the Z Flip 4 include a 6.7-inch 2640 x 1080 Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 1.9-inch 260 x 512 Super AMOLED cover display, an improved dual camera system (12MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide angle), a 10MP selfie camera, and an IPX8 water resistance rating.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia on Samsung.com. If you use code AMGZF4VIP at checkout, you can get a Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo worth RM369 with your purchase; a cable and 15W charger are also included.
Priced from RM4,099, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 does cost slightly more than its predecessor. But given all of the upgrades the foldable phone received, we reckon it’s worth it. Check out our hands-on of the Z Flip 4 if you’d like to learn more about this clamshell foldable phone!
