Illegear just launched a new laptop in Malaysia, and it’s not a gaming machine. Rather, the Illegear Atomic 16 is a thin and light productivity-focused laptop – it measures only 15mm thin with a 1.55kg chassis – powered by Intel’s 12th gen processors, and it’s quite affordable too.

Two main variants of the Atomic 16 are offered in Malaysia. The base model features a Core i5-12500H processor for RM3,299, and you can swap it to a faster Core i7-12700H chip for RM299, bringing up the total price to RM3,598.

As with most of Illegear’s laptops, the hardware of the Atomic 16 is customisable. By default, it features a rather sharp 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio – perfect for productivity tasks – 4GB of RAM (free upgrade to 8GB RAM until 20 August), a 512GB SSD, Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, and a two-year carry-in warranty.

The Illegear Atomic is now available for pre-order in Malaysia on Illegear’s online store with a RM3,299 starting price until 20 August. If you pay in cash instead, you can get the 16-inch productivity laptop from only RM3,135. It’s estimated to start shipping from 21 August onwards.
