Aside from the thin and light Swift 5, Acer Malaysia also introduced two much more affordable productivity laptops with Intel’s 12th gen chips on our shores: the Acer Aspire 3 and Aspire 5. Retailing from only RM2,499, these two laptops are ideal for those who are on a tight budget.
Let’s start with the more affordable laptop of the two, the Aspire 3. Four different configurations are offered in Malaysia. The base RM2,499 model features an Intel Core i3-1215U processor paired with 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Want a faster CPU and more storage? Then consider the RM2,899 Core i5-1235U model with a 512GB SSD.
A tier up shares the same configuration as the Core i5 model, but it packs a dedicated Nvidia GeForce MX550 GPU instead for RM3,399. As for the range-topping Aspire 3, it comes with a Core i7-1255U processor with 16GB of RAM for RM3,699. Beyond that, all models of the Aspire 3 share the same 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display; the full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 is also included.
Next is the Aspire 5, which is available in two configurations. The base RM2,599 model has a Core i3-1315U chip and Intel UHD graphics, while the Core i5-1235U variant with Iris Xe graphics costs RM3,099. Besides the different CPU, both models share the same hardware, including 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display, as well as the full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 included.
Both the Acer Aspire 3 and Aspire 5 are now available for purchase in Malaysia from RM2,499 and RM2,599 respectively. You can also check out the two laptops at the Acer Day roadshow happening now in Pavilion Bukit Jalil until 7 August this Sunday.
