Yes, Huawei unveiled yet another laptop for the APAC region today at its Smart Office 2022 launch. This is the Huawei MateBook 16s, which is positioned between the more affordable MateBook D 16 and the premium MateBook X Pro; it’s also available for pre-order in Malaysia now.
Only one variant of the MateBook 16s is offered in Malaysia. Featuring an Intel Core i7-12700H processor paired with 16GB of RAM and a very generous 1TB SSD storage, the productivity laptop is priced at RM6,799 locally. Early birds who pre-order the MateBook 16s will also get freebies worth RM1,700.

Compared to the MateBook D 16, the MateBook 16s has a number of higher-end hardware. Its display, for one, is a sharper 16-inch 2520 x 1680 panel with a taller 3:2 aspect ratio. This is an ideal aspect ratio for productivity tasks, as it allows users to show more information on the display.
Rounding out the specifications of the MateBook 16s are Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, a 1080p webcam, an 84Wh battery, a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, and Windows 11 Home out of the box.

The Huawei MateBook 16s is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 5 August 2022 for RM6,799. To recap, early pre-orders will come with RM1,700 worth of freebies.
