The Nothing Phone 1 has just been launched in Malaysia, and we finally got word on the Malaysian availability of the phone. The premium mid-ranger can be purchased here from 1 August onwards, and two variants of the Phone 1 are offered locally.
However, only one model is available for purchase on 1 August, which is the 8GB + 128GB configuration of the Phone 1 for RM2,399. The higher-end 12GB + 256GB model, on the other hand, will only arrive here in mid to late August next month for RM2,699.
For that kind of money, the Nothing Phone 1 features a Snapdragon 778G+ chipset with 5G connectivity, which should be more than capable to provide a fast, zippy user experience. This is complemented by the phone’s equally speedy 6.55-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Other specifications of the Phone 1 include a dual camera system (50MP primary + 50MP ultra-wide angle), a 16MP selfie camera, an IP53 rating, an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and a reasonably big 4,500mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.
The Nothing Phone 1 will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 1 August onwards on Shopee, Lazada, SenQ, TMT, DirectD, and Satu Gadget; limited drops will also be offered through Crossover. To recap, the 8GB + 128GB model goes for RM2,399, while the RM2,699 12GB + 256GB variant will only go on sale here in mid to late August next month.
