If you’re a Malaysian residing in Singapore, good news: you can now send in an application online to convert your Malaysian driving license to a Singapore license. Foreigners who have resided in the country for more than 12 months are required to do so to continue driving in Singapore.
This is a trial to reduce waiting and transaction times at the Traffic Police headquarters, said the Singapore Police Force in a news release as reported by CNA. Those who want to convert their Malaysia driving license to a Singapore license can send in their applications online through this link.
Once you’ve submitted your application, you’ll receive an email asking for supporting documents. Your request will then be processed within 14 days, and you will be given an appointment to visit the Traffic Police headquarters to complete the process.
While you are still required to head to the Traffic Police headquarters to get your Malaysian driving license converted, having some of the process done online will certainly save precious time. Again, you can submit your application for the license conversion right here.
