Honda City Sees up to RM4,300 Price Increase With SST
July 1, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Now that the sales tax exemption on locally assembled (CKD) and fully imported (CBU) cars have expired, car prices will increase accordingly. Honda Malaysia have updated its website to reflect this, and its popular B-segment sedan, the Honda City, is now up to RM4,300 more expensive.

Well, the exact figure is RM4,387.64 for the Honda City V Sensing, followed by the standard V model with a RM4,038.55 price hike. Curiously, the RS hybrid model actually sees a lower price increase of RM2,849.55 despite being the range-topping variant.

It’s worth noting that the new prices you see in the table above are only for new bookings placed after 30 June 2022. If you placed your order earlier, you’ll still be eligible for the pre-SST prices; you just need to make sure your car is registered by 31 March 2023 next year.

Nonetheless, if you’re interested to get the Honda City, you can place your booking online here. Alternatively, bookings can be done through the HondaTouch app as well – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
