Sony INZONE M9 & M3 Monitors Are Made for PC Gaming (And PS5) – Not Coming to Malaysia
June 29, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Aside from the INZONE range of gaming headsets, Sony also unveiled two new gaming monitors under the series. The Sony INZONE M9 and INZONE M3 are both made for PC gaming and PS5, but sadly, they will not be available in Malaysia.

We reached out to Sony Malaysia to check on the local availability of the M9 and M3, and we were told that there are no plans to bring in the two monitors to our shores. Only the INZONE gaming headsets will be available here, unfortunately enough.

Nonetheless, the M9 and M3 monitors are quite interesting, especially the former. As the higher-end offering, the M9 sports a 27-inch 4K IPS panel with full array local dimming, a fast 144Hz refresh rate, support for VRR, and 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space.

As for the M3, it sports a lower resolution 27-inch 1080p IPS panel, but the refresh rate is cranked up to a blazing fast 240Hz. It doesn’t have local dimming either, though it does still feature VRR support and 99% coverage of the RGB colour gamut.

Aside from that, both the M3 and M9 support Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode on the PS5.

For the US market, the Sony INZONE M9 retails at $900, which comes up to about RM3,960. As for the M3, it costs $530 (approximately RM2,330). As mentioned, Sony Malaysia has no plans to bring in these two monitors to the Malaysian market.
