Sony finally confirmed the The Last of Us Part 1. Touted as a remake of the original The Last of Us, it is coming to the PS5 on 2 September 2022 later this year. On top of that, the highly acclaimed game is also currently in development for the PC.
Naturally, The Last of Us remake will offer a number of upgrades, including modernised gameplay, improved controls, and more comprehensive accessibility options. It will also make use of the improved haptics and adaptive triggers of the PS5’s DualSense controller.
Of course, aside from the main storyline, The Last of Us Part I will also include the Left Behind DLC, a prequel to the main narrative. If you’re keen to get the game, you can actually pre-order it for the PS5 right now on the PlayStation Store from RM299 for the Standard Edition.
There’s also the RM339 Digital Deluxe Edition of The Last of Us Part I, which offers early unlock of several in-game items. These include six weapon skins, a “Dither Punk” filter, and even a speedrun mode.
Regardless of which edition you get, every pre-order of the game will come with bonus supplements to upgrade your skillset, along with bonus weapon parts to upgrade your arsenal.
To recap, The Last of Us Part I will arrive on the PS5 on 2 September 2022. As for the PC release, no tentative launch date has been announced yet.
