The MacBook Air 2022 has just been announced at Apple’s WWDC 2022 event. Sporting a new design and the equally new (and blazing fast) Apple M2 chip, it is the sleekest, fastest MacBook Air yet.
Naturally, the all-new MacBook Air retains its thin and light design. With a 11.3mm thin chassis, this is without a doubt a portable laptop. But how much does it weigh? Well, it tips the scales at only 1.2kg – this is a very much a lightweight laptop.
Aside from its portable nature, the new MacBook Air also gets a larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display – complete with a notch – a very respectable battery life of up to 18 hours, as well as up to 24GB of memory and 2TB SSD storage. Oh, the MagSafe charger makes a return too.
The MacBook Air 2022 starts at $1,199 in the US; that comes up to about RM5,265. It will be available there sometime in July next month, and it will be sold alongside the current M1-based MacBook Air.
