As gaming phones go, Asus’ range of devices in the segment are some of the most well-known. Come 5 July next month, the Taiwanese company will unveil the latest Asus ROG Phone 6. Naturally, the upcoming gaming phone will also be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Asus shared the launch date of the ROG Phone 6 on its Twitter page. The post also mentioned that other products will be introduced alongside the gaming phone, including new accessories and gaming headphones.
Compared to the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, the new “Plus” version found in the ROG Phone 6 is said to offer up to 10% faster GPU speeds. The CPU sees a 10% improvement as well, and the chipset is also claimed to be up to 30% more power-efficient.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 will make its debut next month on 5 July; the launch event will start at 8PM for us here in Malaysia. It’ll be interesting to see if it will bring any notable upgrades to the current ROG Phone 5.
