We were just told that the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra flagship phone will be coming to Malaysia in September 2022. Sporting a fast 144Hz AMOLED display with an under-display camera, it’s certainly a sleek-looking, high-end device with a “true” full-screen design.

Unfortunately, only the Axon 40 Ultra is coming here; we were told that the Pro model is only offered in China and selected markets. Nonetheless, the Ultra is the higher-end device, thanks to its under-display camera and faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.

Other specifications of the Axon 40 Ultra include a 6.8-inch 2480 x 1116 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate – as well as the aforementioned under-display camera – a triple camera system (64MP primary + 64MP periscope telephoto + 64MP ultra-wide angle), a 16MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra will be available in Malaysia sometime in September 2022. It remains to be seen how much it will be priced at here, though it starts at 4,998 Chinese yuan (about RM3,280) in China.
