Acer Predator Triton 300 SE Revamped With Sleeker Design & 12th Gen Intel Chips
May 22, 2022 Andrew Cheng

At Acer’s annual Next@Acer Global Press Conference, the Taiwanese company unveiled a sleek new version of its compact gaming laptop, the Acer Predator Triton 300 SE. Now sporting a more modern-looking design and a taller 16:10 display, it’s certainly an interesting gaming machine.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Triton 300 SE is now offered in two sizes. There’s this 14-inch model, and a larger 16-inch version for those who want a more expansive display. There’s even an option for an OLED screen, though this seems to be limited to the 14-inch variant.

Depending on the size of the Triton 300 SE, the refresh rate of the display also varies from 90Hz to as high as 240Hz; the resolution also ranges from 2560 x 1600 to 2880 x 1800. Regardless of which size you get, both models feature a tall 16:10 display over the previous model’s 16:9 panel.

Other specifications of the updated Triton 300 SE include a selection of Intel’s 12th generation H-series processors (up to a Core i9), Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs (maxing out at an RTX 3070 Ti), as well as custom-engineered 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans for improved cooling performance.

The new Acer Predator Triton 300 SE will be available in North America sometime in July. EMEA markets, on the other hand, will get the gaming laptop in September. Pricing wise, it starts at $1,600 in the US; that comes up to about RM7,020.
