Asus just unveiled a slew of new laptops, and the headlining product is the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED. Touted by the Taiwanese company as the “most powerful Zenbook ever,” this creator-focused laptop features an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU.
While the RTX 3060 graphics card is not exactly the best mobile GPU in the market now, it makes sense for a creator laptop like the Pro 16X OLED to feature such hardware. What’s more important is the fast Core i9-12900H chip; it’s an impressive 14-core processor.

Paired with a robust cooling system – the laptop has an “AAS Ultra” mechanism that lifts up the keyboard deck – Asus said that the CPU and GPU of the Pro 16X OLED can run at up to 140W combined TDP in Performance mode without throttling. Given that this is 16.9mm thin laptop, it’s quite an impressive claim.
Other specifications of the Pro 16X OLED include a “world-leading” 16-inch 4K OLED HDR touch-enabled display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a 2.4kg unibody chassis, and a generous 96Wh battery that is said to provide up to 10 hours of continuous use on a single charge.

Given the premium positioning of the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, it naturally carries a premium price tag: this creator laptop starts at $2,599 in the US, which comes up to about RM11,380. No confirmation yet on the Malaysian availability of this premium machine.
