For the first-time ever, Genshin Impact‘s next version update is delayed. This was announced by Hoyoverse itself, and it remains to be seen exactly how long the delay will be, though players will be compensated for the delay.
According to Hoyoverse, the Version 2.7 update of Genshin Impact is postponed due to “project progress.” Chances are, it’s due to the extended COVID-19 lockdowns in Shanghai; that’s where Hoyoverse is based in.
Hoyoverse further elaborated that the release date of the new update and content adjustment plan to Genshin Impact will be detailed as soon as possible, along with compensation to players for the delay. Though no official details on Version 2.7 have been revealed, we can expect Yelan and Kuki Shinobu to be introduced in the update.
While it’s not great that Genshin Impact’s Version 2.7 update is delayed, Hoyoverse’s transparency on the matter is certainly appreciated. Hopefully, the company will reveal more details on the update soon; we reckon many players are excited for Yelan and Kuki Shinubo to make their debuts in the game.
