MySejahtera Check-In No Longer Required From 1 May 2022
April 27, 2022 Andrew Cheng

If you’re getting tired of checking into premises with MySejahtera, good news: this will no longer be required from 1 May 2022 this Sunday. This was announced by Khairy Jamaluddin, the Minister of Health.

Curiously, entry to premises are permitted regardless of vaccination status as well once the new ruling is in effect. Basically, you won’t have to be vaccinated to enter premises anymore, though there are certain exceptions.

Obviously, COVID-19 positive cases with a high risk status on MySejahtera will not be allowed entry; the same applies to those under Home Surveillance Order (HSO). Although checking in with MySejahtera will no longer be required from 1 May onwards, premise owners are still required to check visitors’ risk status on the app.

With that in mind, you can’t exactly uninstall MySejahtera on your phone yet, given that you still need to show your risk status at premises. Haven’t gotten the app yet? Then download it from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or the Huawei AppGallery.
