Introduced in Malaysia last year in November, the eco-friendly Acer Aspire Vero is now more affordable locally. In fact, you can get up to RM600 worth of savings – that’s quite a hefty price cut for a reasonably capable productivity-focused laptop.
Let’s start with the base model of the Aspire Vero. Previously retailing at RM3,399, this Intel Core i5-1155G7 laptop with 8GB of RAM has its priced revised to RM2,999 on our shores. The higher-end Core i7-1195G7 configuration with 16GB of RAM, on the other hand, will go for RM3,699 from RM4,299; a RM600 price difference.

Aside from the different processor and RAM capacity, both variants of the Aspire Vero are similar to each other. They have a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS screen – which is said to be 99% recyclable – Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, 512GB of SSD storage, Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 with a lifetime license, and Windows 11 out of the box.
Beyond what’s under the hood, it’s worth noting that the chassis of the Aspire Vero is composed of 30% PCR plastic, which cuts CO2 emissions by 21% for the production of this particular part. The laptop’s keycaps also contain 50% PCR plastic, and even the 100% recyclable packaging of the laptop can be repurposed as a laptop stand.

These new prices for the Acer Aspire Vero will be applicable from 1 May 2022 onwards. To recap, the Core i5 + 8GB RAM model will go for RM2,999, while the Core i7 + 16GB RAM configuration will be priced at RM3,699.
