MTG Streets of New Capenna Features Tokens Made by a Malaysian – Arrives 29 April
April 20, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Magic: The Gathering’s upcoming set, Streets of New Capenna, is arriving next week on 29 April. Ahead of the set’s launch, Wizards of the Coast revealed six token designs from the set, which are exclusive to Southeast Asia. On top of that, two of the tokens are drawn by Malaysian artist Fei Giap.

The two tokens that were illustrated by Fei Giap – who is also the co-founder and creative director of Loka Made – are the treasure token for the Maestros crime family and the Halo magical substance. As for the other four tokens, they are designed by Rachta Lin (Singapore), Richard Suwono (Indonesia), Hongtae Taecholarn (Thailand), and Lius Estevez & Josh Corpuz (Philippines).

As mentioned, these particular token designs are exclusive to Southeast Asia, and they are limited single print run. To get these tokens, you’ll have to purchase Streets of New Capenna’s Collector Booster Box from participating WPN (Wizards Play Network) stores.

MTG’s Streets of New Capenna set will be released on 29 April 2022. It is available in Draft, Set, and Collector Boosters, along with factionalised Theme Boosters and Commander Decks. If you want to pre-order the new set, check with your favourite local game store!
