Honda City Hatchback V Sensing Now in Malaysia – Adds Honda Sensing for RM92k
April 12, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Honda Malaysia just introduced a new variant of its B-segment hatchback. The Honda City Hatchback V Sensing, just like its sedan counterpart of the same trim, is essentially the 1.5L V model with the addition of Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance safety systems.

So how much does the new City Hatchback V Sensing cost? A cool RM91,708.51 with sales tax exemption applied until 30 June 2022. For the sake of comparison, the regular City Hatchback V currently goes for RM87,860, so you’re paying exactly RM3,848.51 more for the V Sensing variant.

Given the extra safety features you’re getting with Honda Sensing, it’s worth the price difference, in our opinion. The system includes Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Collision Mitigating Braking System (CMBS), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Auto High Beam (AHB).

Aside from the addition of Honda Sensing, the City Hatchback V Sensing also gets a 7-inch digital instrument cluster instead of an analogue one. Beyond these two upgrades, other equipment of this new model are the exact same as the standard V model.

It’s still powered by the same 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine that outputs 121PS and 145Nm of torque, and it is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The City Hatchback V Sensing also gets six airbags, Honda LaneWatch, 16-inch alloy wheels, as well as support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The Honda City Hatchback V Sensing is now available for booking in Malaysia. If you’re interested to get it, you can place your booking online here. Alternatively, bookings can be done through the HondaTouch app too – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
