Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) for 2022 is happening in the next two months. Set to take place from 6 to 10 June, it will be another online-only affair, where the Cupertino company will reveal “the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.”

Although WWDC22 is an online conference this year, Apple will actually hold an in-person session at Apple Park on 6 June. Both developers and students can watch the keynote and State of the Union videos together, though space will be limited. More details on how to apply for the session will be provided on the Apple Developer site and app soon.

As mentioned, WWDC is where Apple unveils its latest software, so we can expect to get details on new iterations of iOS, macOS, and iPadOS at the conference, among other things. WWDC also allows developers to learn how to create “groundbreaking apps and interactive experiences,” as Apple puts it.

While software is a big part of WWDC, Apple has also introduced a number of new hardware at the event in the past, including new Macs and iPads. With the rumour of a new M2 processor coming to Macs this year, it’s possible we’ll learn more about the upcoming chip at WWDC22 on 6 June.
