QK65 Custom Keyboard Goes on Sale 31 March in Malaysia – Starts at RM669
March 24, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Qwertykey, a sister company of Owlab – the brand behind the popular Jelly Epoch and Mr. Suit custom keyboards – announced its first-ever keyboard, the QK65, not too long ago. What makes this custom board particularly interesting is its affordable price tag and feature set, and you can get it in Malaysia next week on 31 March.

Of course, Rebult Keyboards will be the Malaysian vendor for the QK65. Two distinct finishes of the custom keyboard are offered: the anodised version retails at RM669, while the e-white models are priced at RM755.

Do note that these prices include a solderable PCB and a plate of your choice. If you want to swap the PCB to a hotswap one instead, you’ll have to add RM86.

So what do you get with the QK65? Well, a number of very enticing features, including a gasket mounting system that’s similar to the popular Mr. Suit. It also has a die-cast aluminium bottom case with a stamped stainless steel weight (PVD-coated in very eye-catching colours) to bring down the price of the keyboard.

This being an “Owlab-style” keyboard – really, that’s what Qwertykeys said – the QK65 has quite a number of foam to produce a deep, thocky sound signature. It even has some silicone dampeners to further enhance the acoustics of the keyboard.

Oh, did we mention that the QK65 is also bundled with a carrying bag and Owlab’s Liquidmetal Owlstabs stabilisers? Needless to say, the value proposition of this keyboard is very, very good.

You can join the sale for the QK65 in Malaysia on Rebult Keyboards’ online store next week on 31 March at 8PM. Only one unit is allowed per order, though you can make multiple orders. Fulfilment of the QK65 is estimated to begin in June or July 2022 – reasonably short waiting time for a custom keyboard.
