Dell also brought in the updated Alienware m15 R7 with Intel’s 12th gen processors. Of course, given the premium positioning of this gaming laptop – especially compared to the more affordable Dell G15 – you do have to pay a premium for it too.
The most affordable variant of the m15 R7 for the Malaysian market retails at RM7,699. For that kind of money, you’re getting a Core i7-12700H processor – the sole chip option for the m15 R7 locally – paired with 16GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU, a 15.6-inch 1080p display with a 165Hz refresh rate (and G-Sync support), as well as a 512GB SSD.
Want a more powerful GPU? Well, you can swap out the RTX 3050 Ti for an RTX 3060 graphics card for RM8,299; you’re essentially paying RM600 for this upgrade. You can also change the GPU to an even beefier RTX 3070 Ti card for RM9,899.
It’s also possible to configure the m15 R7 with a very capable RTX 3080 Ti, though you’ll have to pay a cool RM12,399 for this. The online configurator also lets you add more RAM, SSD storage, and opt for a QHD 240Hz or FHD 360Hz screen. Naturally, all display options for this gaming laptop support Nvidia G-Sync technology.
You can purchase (and configure) the Alienware m15 R7 in Malaysia right now through Dell’s online store. If you’d like to learn more about this gaming laptop, check out our review of the previous model right here.
