Realme will be launching its latest flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 2 Pro, right here in Malaysia next week on 24 March. What makes this device particularly interesting is Realme’s claims: the GT 2 Pro is said to be the “most affordable” Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phone in Malaysia.
If Realme does make good on this promise, the GT 2 Pro will be priced quite competitively. To put this into context, one of the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 phones on our shores now is the Motorola Edge 30 for RM2,699. There’s also the Xiaomi 12, which starts at RM2,899.

Beyond its chipset, the GT 2 Pro also features a 6.7-inch 1440p LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 50MP ultra-wide angle + 3MP micro-lens), a 32MP selfie camera, up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, as well as a 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
We’ll find out exactly how much the Realme GT2 Pro will be priced at in Malaysia come 24 March next week. You can catch the livestream of the local launch on Realme Malaysia’s Facebook page at 2PM on that day.
