Hoyoverse – this is now Mihoyo’s global branding – just announced a livestream for Genshin Impact 2.6. Set to take place this Friday on 18 March, Kamisato Ayato is prominently featured in the teaser image alongside his sister, Kamisato Ayaka.

With this in mind, there’s a good chance Ayato will be a playable character in Genshin Impact 2.6. After all, he was teased by Hoyoverse in February last month; every character previewed by the developer has consistently made his or her in-game debut as a playable character in the following version update.

Version 2.6 of Genshin Impact is dubbed Zephyr of the Violet Garden, which could very well be a reference to Ayato. As with previous version update livestreams, redemption codes (and other goodies) offering Primogems will be given during the livestream as well.
