Intrigued by Apple’s powerful new desktop? Well, the Cupertino company just listed the Malaysian pricing of the new Mac Studio, and it starts at a cool RM8,799.

For that kind of money, you’re getting the Mac Studio with an M1 Max chip. If you want to equip the desktop with the fancy new M1 Ultra chip, that will set you back RM16,799 – that’s almost double the price of the M1 model.

While that’s a lot of money, the M1 Ultra does offer blazing fast performance. Compared to the M1 found in the Mac mini, for example, the M1 Ultra is said to be “nearly” eight times faster, thanks to its 800Gbps memory bandwidth, a 20-core CPU (with 16 high performance cores), and a 64-core GPU.

Just like the 2022 iPad Air, it remains to be seen exactly when the new Mac Studio will be available for purchase in Malaysia. Nonetheless, you can look at its product page here for the full price list and configuration options.
