Oppo Malaysia dropped a surprise announcement today at the launch event for the Reno 7 series. The Chinese company revealed that the unannounced Oppo Reno 7 Z will also be coming to Malaysia in the near future.
How soon will that happen? Well, according to Oppo Malaysia, the Reno 7 Z will be available locally sometime in April 2022. Unfortunately, the hardware of the phone were not revealed, though it’s said to be the “portrait expert,” just like other devices in the Reno 7 series.
Based on the product page of the Reno 7 Z on Oppo Indonesia’s official website, it will not be powered by a MediaTek chipset like the rest of its siblings. Instead, it’s said to be packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, which should offer a reasonably good level of performance.
We’ll find out the full specifications of the Oppo Reno 7 Z once it is officially launched. It’ll be interesting to see how it would compare in terms of pricing to the Reno 7 Pro and standard Reno 7, which go for RM2,999 and RM1,999 respectively.
