Oppo Malaysia just launched its latest premium phone on our shores, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro. Promising DSLR-style portrait shots (even for the front-facing camera) with a sleek design, the Reno 7 Pro may appeal to selfie lovers.
Only one variant of the Reno 7 Pro is offered in Malaysia: it features a generous 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage for RM2,999. It will be available from now until 4 March 2022, and every pre-order will come with up to RM1,406 worth of freebies.
What makes the Reno 7 Pro particularly unique are its camera sensors. More specifically, the Sony IMX709 sensor for the 32MP front camera – it’s touted as the world’s first phone to use this hardware – and IMX766 for the 50MP primary rear shooter, which is also paired with an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro camera.
According to Oppo, the Reno 7 Pro’s Portrait Mode features “25 levels of adjustable blurring, bokeh, and light spot size,” which promises DSLR-style portrait shots for both the rear and front-facing cameras. Those who love taking selfies should appreciate this level of customisability.
Other specifications of the Reno 7 Pro include a 6.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, a 4,500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging, and ColorOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
To recap, the Oppo Reno 7 Pro retails at RM2,999 in Malaysia. It is now available for pre-order until 4 March 2022.
