Aside from the Pro models, the Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S are also introduced in Malaysia today. Naturally, these two phones are more affordable than their Pro counterparts, while still offering reasonably good hardware.
The more affordable device of the two is the Redmi Note 11, which costs RM749 (128GB + 4GB) and RM799 (128GB + 6GB) with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset. The Note 11S, on the other hand, is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor for RM899 (128GB + 6GB) and RM999 (128GB + 8GB).
Of course, early birds who pre-order the two phones online tomorrow will get freebies. You can get a RM100 discount on the base model of the Note 11S (RM50 for the Note 11), while the higher-end models are bundled with a Redmi Buds 3.
The price difference between the two phones (aside from the different processor) lies in the camera. While both phones feature a quad camera system with the same 8MP ultra-wide shooter, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor, the Note 11S has a 108MP primary camera, while the regular Note 11 features a 50MP main shooter.
Other specifications of the Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S include a 6.43-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 16MP selfie camera (13MP for the standard Note 11), and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging.
The Redmi Note 11 and Note 11S will be available for purchase in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards (11 February). You can get them at authorised Xiaomi stores or online from Shopee and Lazada.
