The Redmi Note 11 series has just been launched in Malaysia. The lineup is headlined by the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, followed by the standard Pro model. Naturally, both phones are priced quite competitively.
Let’s start with the more budget-friendly phone of the two, the Redmi Note 11 Pro. Retailing at RM999 (128GB + 6GB) and RM1,099 (128GB + 8GB), it features a MediaTek Helio G96 processor. The higher-end Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, on the other hand, goes for RM1,199 (128GB + 6GB) and RM1,299 (128GB + 8GB) with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset instead.
There are also a number of pre-order deals for the two phones. The base model of the Note 11 Pro 5G can be purchased for only RM1,099 with a free Redmi Buds 3, while the standard Pro variant (128GB + 6GB) gets a RM50 discount with a Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 thrown in for free.
As for the higher-end 128GB + 8GB variants of the two phones, every online pre-order is bundled with a Mi Smart Band 6. Now, beyond the different chipset, both phones are quite similar to each other. They are packed with a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast wired charging.
Curiously, in the camera department, the standard Redmi Note 11 Pro features a quad camera system (108MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro + 2MP depth), but the 5G model omits the depth sensor. Aside from that, both phones also have a 16MP selfie camera.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G and the regular Pro model will be available for pre-order in Malaysia from 11 to 18 February. You can place your order through Shopee and Lazada.
