If the RM5,099 starting price of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is out of your budget, consider the more affordable Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+. Retailing from RM3,499, the standard S22 is priced quite a bit lower.
Both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are offered in two variants for our market. The regular S22 retails at RM3,499 and RM3,699 for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively. As for the bigger S22+, it costs RM4,099 and RM4,299 for the 128GB and 256GB configurations respectively.
If you’re wondering, all variants of the S22 and S22+ feature 8GB of RAM.
For that kind of money, both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset for the Malaysian market. This is quite a surprise, given that the Malaysian market usually gets the Exynos variant.
Other specifications of the Galaxy S22 and S22+ include a FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate at 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch respectively, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide angle + 10MP telephoto), a 10MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
As for battery capacity, the S22 has a 3,700mAh battery (25W fast charging), while the S22+ features a larger 4,500mAh cell with faster 45W fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 and S22+ will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 10 February onwards. To recap, the standard S22 starts at RM3,499, while the S22+ is priced from RM4,099.
