Launched alongside the Galaxy S22 Ultra are the smaller (and more affordable) Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+. Unlike the S22 Ultra’s curved display and rounded sides, the standard S22 and S22+ sport a flatter, more ergonomically-friendly frame in a smaller form factor.
This is really one of the biggest changes to the Galaxy S22 and S22+. Thanks to the flat sides of the two phones, they are much easier to hold, making them more ergonomically-friendly. The glass back panel of both phones also have a slight bevel near the frame; a nice, small touch for that extra bit of refinement.

Just like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the standard S22 and S22+ are also powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset for the Malaysian market. This is quite a surprise, given that the Malaysian market usually gets the Exynos variant.
Other specifications of the Galaxy S22 and S22+ include a FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate at 6.1-inch and 6.6-inch respectively, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide angle + 10MP telephoto), a 10MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, and either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage.
As for battery capacity, the S22 has a 3,700mAh battery (25W fast charging), while the S22+ features a larger 4,500mAh cell with faster 45W fast charging.

The Malaysian pricing and availability of the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have not been detailed yet. But if previous launches are any indication, we reckon Samsung Malaysia will reveal these information (and pre-order details) very soon.
