The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is finally official, and just as the leaks suggest, it now comes with a built-in S Pen – the signature feature of the much beloved Galaxy Note lineup. Aside from the S Pen, the S22 Ultra even has the familiar angular design of the Note series.
Without a doubt the Galaxy S22 Ultra is made for fans of the Galaxy Note. In fact, it’s really a Note device in all but name; after all, it carries over the same design language and S Pen. Well, not exactly: the S Pen has been improved with less latency, which makes for a more fluid writing experience.
On top of that, unlike previous Galaxy S devices, the S22 Ultra for the Malaysian market is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset instead of Samsung’s own Exynos 2200. If you’ve always wanted the Qualcomm variant of a Galaxy S phone, you can get just that with the new S22 series.
Other specifications of the Galaxy S22 Ultra include a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, a quad camera system (108MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide + 10MP 3x telephoto + 10MP 10x telephoto), a 40MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
The Malaysian availability and pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra have not been revealed yet, though we reckon Samsung Malaysia will make an announcement very soon. Rest assured, we will keep a close eye for any relevant details.
