Genshin Impact 2.5 Arrives 16 February – Yae Miko Finally Playable, Raiden Shogun Now Weekly Boss
February 7, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Genshin Impact Version 2.5 looks to be jam-packed with new content. Not only are we (finally) getting Yae Miko as a playable 5-star Electro character, Raiden Shogun will also be a weekly boss now – she looks to be wielding some terrifying new abilities too.

First up, Yae Miko. Her event wish will be featured first in Version 2.5 of Genshin Impact, which will go live on 16 February alongside the new update. Phase two of the event wish, on the other hand, is a rerun of Sangonomiya Kokomi and the Raiden Shogun herself.

Speaking of which, the Raiden Shogun will be featured in a Trounce Domain in Genshin Impact 2.5 as a new weekly boss. Looking at the trailer above, she has a different appearance and some powerful attacks too; Mihoyo even said the Raiden Shogun will “challenge players with intimidating combat mechanics.”

Beyond these additions, Genshin Impact 2.5 will also introduce a new story quest for both the Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko; the former will likely explain why she is now a (terrifying) weekly boss. As usual, a number of events will also run in the new update, which will reward players with Primogems and a new 4-star catalyst, Oathsworn Eye.

Genshin Impact’s Version 2.5 update will be released on 16 February next week. Once the update is live, Yae Miko’s event wish will also be available, followed by the Raiden Shogun’s and Sangonomiya Kokomi’s rerun banners in the second phase.
