Launched last year on 18 November 2021, the 2022 Perodua Myvi is proving to be very popular among Malaysians. So far, a whopping 31,154 bookings have been placed for the B-segment hatchback – that’s a very impressive figure in only two months’ time.
Out of those bookings, Perodua managed to deliver 7,055 units of the new Myvi to date. If you’re still waiting to take delivery of your car, worry not: the CEO and president of Perodua, Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad, assures customers that production of the hatchback will not be interrupted.
“Our order book for new vehicles is still quite healthy with the guarantee that the production will go uninterrupted will mean that we could fulfil the outstanding orders in a timely manner,” he said.
Looking forward, Perodua aims to register as many as 247,800 vehicles this year. That’s against an estimated total industry volume (TIV) of 610,000 – an internal projection on Perodua’s part – so if the national carmaker manages to achieve this target, it would capture 40.6% market share.
