January 20, 2022 Andrew Cheng

Previously offered only to businesses and schools, regular consumers will now be able to purchase the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ in Malaysia from 8 February onwards. Essentially, it’s an upgraded version of the Surface Pro 7 with Intel’s 11th gen processors, a bigger battery, and removable SSD.

Two configurations of the Surface Pro 7+ are offered to consumers in Malaysia. The base model with a Core i3-1115G4 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage costs RM3,599, while the higher-end model with a faster Core i5-1135G7 processor (same RAM and SSD capacities) is priced at RM4,299.

The Surface Pro 7+ largely retains the same hardware as the standard Pro 7, but as mentioned, it features a larger battery (50.4Wh instead of 46.5Wh). It also has a removable SSD, giving consumers the flexibility to easily upgrade for more storage if they want to.

Other specifications of the Surface Pro 7+ include a 12.3-inch 2736 x 1824 PixelSense display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, Intel Iris Xe Graphics (UHD Graphics for the Core i3 version), up to 15 hours of battery life, and Windows 10 Pro out of the box.

To recap, the Microsoft Surface Pro 7+ will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 8 February next month. The Core i3 model is priced at RM3,599, while the Core i5 configuration goes for RM4,299.
