As promised, Microsoft Malaysia just opened pre-orders for its latest Windows tablet, the Microsoft Surface Pro 8. Retailing from RM4,950, five different configurations of the tablet are available in Malaysia.
Let’s start with the RM4,950 base model of the Surface Pro 8. For that kind of money, you’re getting a Core i5-1135G7 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. A tier up is the RM5,250 model, which swaps out the 128GB SSD for a 256GB drive instead.
There’s a similar configuration with 16GB of RAM too instead of 8GB for RM6,490, though this model is exclusive to Harvey Norman.
And then we have the Core i7-1185G7 version of the Surface Pro 8 for RM7,350; it is also packed with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. If you want even more storage capacity, there’s the RM8,750 model with double the SSD storage (512GB).
Compared to its predecessor, the Surface Pro 8 sees a much more significant design revision. Not only does it sport a larger 13-inch PixelSense Flow Display now with smaller bezels, it also has a higher 120Hz refresh rate for a more responsive user experience.
The Surface Pro 8 can also be paired with the new Surface Pro Signature Keyboard that houses the equally new Surface Slim Pen 2 stylus too. More importantly, this Windows tablet finally gets two USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 support as well.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 8 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia from these retailers. Every purchase of the tablet during the pre-order period will also get a Surface Pro Signature Keyboard worth RM699 for free. To sweeten the deal, some retailers will even throw in freebies worth up to RM1,499 while stocks last.
