Black Shark 4 Pro Malaysian Pre-Orders Open 25 January From RM2,599
January 17, 2022 Andrew Cheng

The Black Shark 4 Pro was introduced back in March 2021, but due to chip shortages, the gaming phone is only available in Malaysia today. Sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset with physical shoulder buttons that pop-up when needed, it’s quite a respectable gaming-centric phone.

Two variants of the Black Shark 4 Pro are offered in Malaysia. The base model with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM costs RM2,599, while the 256GB configuration with 12GB RAM goes for RM2,999. The first 100 customers to pre-order the phone will also get RM500 worth of freebies.

Just like Black Shark’s previous gaming phone, the Black Shark 4 Pro features physical shoulder buttons that pop-up when activated. Physical buttons are often preferred over capacitive ones for their superior tactile response, and this hardware remains one of the best selling points of the gaming phone.

Other specifications of the Black Shark 4 Pro include a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a fast 144Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch response rate, a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 5MP macro), a 20MP selfie camera, and a 4,500mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.

The Black Shark 4 Pro will be available for pre-order in Malaysia through Shopee from 25 January onwards. To recap, the 128GB model costs RM2,599, while the 256GB variant retails at RM2,999.
