Arataki Itto and Gorou’s banner has been revealed! Set to go live in Genshin Impact on 14 December, the two brand new Geo characters will be accompanied by Xiangling and Barbara in the upcoming character event wish.

Just like Genshin Impact’s previous character event wishes, the “drop rate” of Itto, Gorou, Xiangling, and Barbara will be increased. In the case of Itto, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be him. If you got a different character, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Itto.

Since Genshin Impact’s pity system for character banners ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character every 90 wishes, you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed Itto. The same rule applies to 4-star characters (guaranteed every 10-roll instead), but given that there are three of them featured in the banner, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Gorou, Xiangling, or Barbara. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters – especially Gorou, since he’s new – you will likely have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Arataki Itto’s “Oni’s Royale” event wish will go live on Genshin Impact on 14 December at 6PM for us here in Malaysia. His banner will be available until 4 January 2022, and we expect Shenhe and Yun Jin to be added to the game then. After all, Mihoyo already dropped a video teaser of Yun Jin above.
