To encourage more of its users to go cashless, Boost and Mastercard are partnering to release a prepaid card. This should allow for users to still utilise their e-wallet balance in Boost at retail stores that don’t support payment through the Boost app.
“One of the principle aims of the Boost Mastercard prepaid card will be to allow Boost consumers to make seamless, safe and convenient payments in Malaysia, Indonesia, and globally where Mastercard is accepted,” said the company in a press release.
Unfortunately, it’s not revealed exactly when Boost will release the Mastercard prepaid card. Nonetheless, it will certainly boost (sorry for the pun) the e-wallet’s use once the prepaid card is available to consumers.
