Seems like the Honda City Hatchback is quite popular among Malaysians. Initially open for booking just last month in November 2021, over 2,000 bookings have already been placed for the B-segment hatchback – that’s a respectable figure.
According to Honda Malaysia, it’s targeting to sell 1,000 units of the City Hatchback every month. If the Japanese carmaker can keep up the current sales momentum for the hatchback, it can certainly hit that figure – and then some.
Of course, given that full details of the City Hatchback were only revealed today, there’s no specific breakdown of which variant received the most bookings. However, historically – for the City sedan, anyway – the V model is usually the most popular variant.
To recap, the City Hatchback starts at RM75,670 for the base S model, going up to RM83,080 for the mid-tier E trim. The V variant, on the other hand, goes for RM87,860. Unfortunately, the RS e:HEV hybrid model will only be arriving in Malaysia sometime in early 2022, so we don’t know yet how much it costs locally.
Delivery for the Honda City Hatchback will begin in January 2022 next month. If you’re keen to get this B-segment hatchback, you can head to your nearest Honda dealership to place a booking. Alternatively, can also book it online here, or even through the HondaTouch app – you can download it from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
