The Dell G15 gaming laptop has been quietly launched in Malaysia. Sporting the latest Intel Tiger Lake-H processors with a range of Nvidia RTX graphics cards, it’s a reasonably affordable gaming machine.
As many as five different variants of the G15 are offered in Malaysia. The base model (RM4,349) sports a 15.6-inch 1080p VA panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i5-11400H processor paired with 8GB of RAM, an RTX 3050 GPU, and a 512GB SSD storage.
A tier up is the RM4,849 configuration of the G15, which swaps out the processor to a Core i7-11800H. Next, we have the RTX 3050 Ti model with the same hardware (minus the different GPU and more RAM at 16GB) as the aforementioned model for RM5,349.
And then there’s the more powerful G15 with an RTX 3060 GPU for RM6,349. It’s quite a big leap in price, though you do get a larger 1TB SSD storage for that extra money. Last but not least is the G15 Special Edition; it comes with an aluminium cover in Obsidian Black (with an iridescent logo) and a faster 165Hz VA panel for RM6,549.
The Dell G15 Special Edition
Curiously, the Dell G15 Special Edition model only features 512GB of SSD despite being the most costly variant in the lineup. Anyway, this gaming laptop is now available for purchase in Malaysia through Dell’s Malaysian online store.
