The premium Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED laptop for creative professionals has arrived in Malaysia. Touted as the world’s first 16-inch laptop with a 4K OLED HDR display, it also has a unique physical dial “with over 70 functions.”
Three different variants of the Studiobook 16 OLED are offered in Malaysia. The sole Intel model (Core i7-11800H) features a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED display, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, 32GB of RAM, as well as a 1TB SSD for RM9,999.
Curiously, the other two AMD configurations of the Studiobook 16 OLED better value for money hardware-wise. Not only does it start from RM9,999 too, you’re also getting a sharper 16-inch 3840 x 2400 4K OLED panel, a Ryzen 9 5900HX processor paired with 32GB of RAM, an RTX 3060 GPU, and a 1TB SSD for that kind of money.
If you want to upgrade the GPU to a beefier RTX 3070 GPU and get twice the amount of RAM (64GB), you’ll have to fork out RM11,999.
Anyway, beyond these hardware, the Studiobook 16 also has the aforementioned physical dial dubbed Asus dial. It is described by Asus as an “intuitive physical controller that gives you instant and precise fingertip control over parameters in your creative apps. We imagine creative professionals will find this feature useful.
The Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED will go on sale in Malaysia sometime this month. To recap, it starts from RM9,999 for both the Intel and AMD models, while the highest-end AMD variant with an RTX 3070 and 64GB of RAM costs RM11,999.
