Honor 50 Lite Arriving in Malaysia 25 November for RM999
November 18, 2021 Andrew Cheng

Honor Malaysia just revealed more details on its latest affordable smartphone, the Honor 50 Lite. Set to arrive here next week on 25 November, the budget-friendly phone will retail at RM999 locally.

For that kind of money, the 50 Lite is packed with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM; reasonably generous capacities. Aside from that, this mid-ranger also features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, a 6.67-inch 2376 x 1080 LCD screen, as well as a 4,300mAh battery with support for 66W fast charging.

In the camera department, this phone sports a quad camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro + 2MP depth) and a 16MP selfie camera.

One of the most highlighted features of the 50 Lite (as expected) is the fact that it ships with Google Mobile Services (GMS). Honor phones sold in Malaysia – prior to the release of the Honor 50 – did not come with GMS, so they didn’t have access to Google’s range of apps and services, which is really the defining trait of an Android smartphone.

The Honor 50 Lite will be available for purchase in Malaysia from 25 November onwards. To sweeten the deal, early birds can get up to RM300 worth of freebies, including a Bluetooth speaker and a Honor-branded backpack.
