The 2022 Perodua Myvi facelift is now open for booking in Malaysia, and even the price range of the popular B-segment hatchback has been revealed. Now, the national carmaker posted a teaser of the updated Myvi’s instrument cluster and steering wheel, revealing some key features.
Compared to the current Myvi, the new instrument cluster is now finished in red; even the multi-info display is larger now, lending to a more modern look. What’s more interesting, however, are the buttons on the steering wheel. These seem to suggest that the Myvi will sport level 2 autonomous driving, just like the larger (and costlier) Ativa.
As you can see on the right side of the steering wheel, there are buttons for Lane Keep Control (LKC) and adaptive cruise control. These features – among other things – make up the Perodua Smart Drive Assist (PSDA) system, which is only found on the Ativa at the moment. The fact that it will also be available on the Myvi is…well, quite a big deal.
Oh, take note of the “PWR” button on the lower right of the steering wheel too. This is the same button found on the Ativa to get extra responsiveness from the CVT gearbox, giving further credence to the rumour that the Myvi will feature the same transmission.
