Bookings for the all-new Honda City Hatchback is now open in Malaysia! Set to be launched locally sometime in Q4 2021 – which could be this month or the next – the replacement for the popular Jazz hatchback is offered in two powertrains: the standard 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC petrol and the range-topping e:HEV hybrid system.

So far, only the range-topping RS e:HEV hybrid model and the V trim – with the aforementioned 1.5L petrol engine – of the City Hatchback have been confirmed. Naturally, the RS model is also the only variant to get the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance safety systems.

As the City Hatchback succeeds the Jazz, it’s no surprise that the B-segment hatchback also gets the latter’s much-loved ULTRA Seats. Basically, the rear seats of the City Hatchback can be folded flat or even flipped up in four different configurations to accommodate different cargo.

“The introduction of the All-New City Hatchback is a key milestone for Honda in Malaysia as it is the first time the company is offering the City model in a hatchback body type,” said the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Madoka Chujo.
